Anti Aging Products Comparison: Does Price Equal Quality?
If you have recently purchased an anti aging product you have probably noticed that prices tend to be either very low or very expensive. You’ve probably even passed up a cheaper one because you thought that it couldn’t possibly be as good as the one that was outrageously expensive. After all, it wouldn’t be priced so low if it actually worked, right? Well, not necessarily.
The following article will complete an anti aging products comparison in roder to discuss the pros and cons of several anti aging products that are priced all across the board. You can then determine what you think is the better product for you.
1. Natural Advantage. This product claims that is reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. You purchase the set which includes moisturizer, cleanser, and overnight cream. It is fairly good at removing makeup and works well for people with sensitive skin. Jane Seymour apparently uses it, or at least she endorses it. However, the all day moisturizer only has an SPF of 15. The sizes are rather small as well, which means that they might only last a month-not 60 days as advertised. Price: $29.95
2. Hydroderm’s Age Defying Wrinkle Serum: This is supposed to be better than Botox, at least according to the company. But is it? It uses a collagen infusion system, which is supposed to plump up your skin making your wrinkles and fine lines less noticeable. However, it contains paraben which is a preservative that occasionally causes contact dermatitis. Two of the active ingredients that are great at reducing the appearance of age are citric acid and ascorbic acid and you can get those in less expensive products. Price: $79.95
3. Athena 7 Minute Lift: The clinical trials supposedly showed a decrease in wrinkles and lines at 83%. The interesting part was that the results were measured 7 minutes after the product was applied. So does it work? Believe it or not, it does. It is not permanent, however, and only lasts around 9 hours. It is also complicated to apply so it comes with a handy video to help you out. Price: $89
4. L’Oreal Advanced Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair: The day lotion contains SPF 15. The night lotion appears to have better reviews since the day lotion can be drying. Some people ended up using the night cream as day cream as well. While some of the smaller fine lines appeared to fade, the deeper creases were not reduced much at all, even after 10 weeks of use. However, it does contain a lot of the same ingredients that the most expensive products contain. Price: $17 per tube
When it comes to anti aging products comparison, it doesn’t always appear that price has much to do with quality. If you want something done that will give you permanent effects, you’re going to need a visit to the doctor. Those products that tell you your wrinkles will fade over night are more than likely just hype.
