Free Skincare Sample: How to Choose

There are a lot of skincare companies out there and all of them are vying for your business. From a retailer’s point of view, skincare products are wonderful because most people stick with their brand if it works for them. This is why it makes sense for companies to give away free skincare samples. The consumer is happy to try out a new product for free, and if it works for them, they’ll stick with it over the course of years and maybe even decades.

Large companies like Garnier even send out free skincare samples in the mail. You open your mailbox one sunny morning, and sitting inside is a small tube of skincare product. It might be shampoo, conditioner or a new product that Garnier is aggressively promoting.

But should you try the new product that’s sitting so happily in your mailbox?

Before you slap it on your face or put it in your hair, you should take a look at the ingredients to make sure that it doesn’t contain anything that you’re allergic too. While a free skincare sample is wonderful, it’s certainly not worth an allergic reaction. If it does contain something that you may be allergic to, perhaps you could pass it on to a friend or a relative.

If you haven’t received a free skincare sample in your mailbox, you can always find some on your own. The internet is chock full of sites that are giving away free skincare samples. Simply type in ‘free skincare sample’ into your favorite search engine, and you’ll be greeted by over twenty four million sites!

Most of these sites will ask for some of your personal information. It makes sense that you would have to disclose your address so that they can ship the product to your door. However, you should still be careful and avoid handing out your credit card information. Some of these companies ask for your email address, and will ship you some free product, but at the same time, they’ll use your email address to send you advertisements.

If you’d like to avoid those advertisements, you can hit your local drug store, makeup retailer or salon and ask them if they have any free samples. This approach may take a bit more time and energy, but it allows you to question the retailer, which can be invaluable when choosing what product is best for you.

Cashing in on some free skincare samples can really help you choose the best products. Everyone’s skin is slightly different and a product that works for one person may not necessarily work for another.
