Top Anti aging Products-Does Price Equal Quality?
When it comes to the top anti aging products, does price equal quality? If you go out and spend a bunch of money on a container of cream that is meant to reduce the appearance of your wrinkles and your friend spends 1/3 of that on something that she bought at CVS Pharmacy, are you most assured to get the better results? You might be surprised that the top anti aging products don’t necessarily reflect it in their pricing.
There is a reason for this, of course. Although some ingredients are very expensive, it is actually very rare that the price reflects the ingredients. What, you say? You probably thought that you were paying for the ingredients all this time. Well, to some extent you were, of course. However, other things go into pricing.
Marketing is one of the biggest expenses that a skin care company has to deal with. All of those magazine ads, celebrity testimonials, super-cool websites, and commercials with beautiful people frolicking on the beach take a lot of dough. Skin care companies pay those celebrities to be their spokespeople. Sometimes, the spokespeople don’t even use the products that they are endorsing.
So who winds up paying their fees? You do, of course. It goes into the product price. Some of the top anti aging products are from companies that don’t have big name celebrities or commercials. You might not have ever even heard of the products.
Packaging costs also go into the product price. It takes a lot of money to make some of those containers look pretty. Think about that the next time you admire your glass skin cream bottle and then remember that you paid $85 for 3 oz.
Some of the best ingredients that go into the top anti aging products don’t cost very much money at all. Take green tea, for instance. It is a powerful antioxidant. It is also used in a lot of the top anti aging products-both the expensive ones and the cheap ones. Shea butter is another good ingredient that isn’t that expensive. However, it sure does keep your skin hydrated.
Other times, companies put a lot of extra ingredients in their products. Things like fragrances, alcohol, and color. If you like the pretty red color of your shower gel, look on the back. You will probably find Red #4 or something to that effect listed as an ingredient. These ingredients take money as well. However top anti aging products will have actual anti aging ingredients in high concentrations as their active ingredients-not fragrances, colors, and preservatives. If you have noticed, there are an awful lot of preservatives in some anti aging products. Why? It’s not like you want to keep them around for 5 years. Presumably, you want to use them.
In short, no, price does not always equal equality when it comes to the top anti aging products. Do your research behind the products that you want to purchase and put some thought into what you think makes them good.
